Sorry internet...

I fear I got your hopes up a bit. But it isn't a fibroid or a cyst or even a wad on undigested bubble gum that I swallowed when I was 5...it's a tumor...a nice big metastasis. The radiologist I saw today (thanks to my fabulous connections who get me in for next day appointments - Love ya' Jason) says I should see a gynecological surgical oncologist because he'd want the whole mess cut out - tumor, uterus, ovaries. I'm with him. Menopause at 36, that'll be a hoot. At least Sean will never have to go to the store for a box of tampons again.

Tampons are too expensive anyway. And big tumors are actually easier for surgeons to remove than small cells. So it's a draw again!

And, annoyingly, subject to our Goods & Services tax up here in the GWN (that's great white north). It's not as if we (the ladies, that is) are buying them for the fun of it. I like the sounds of cutting it out, getting it out of you, just hope that it can be done soon.

LEt them take it all. You have this wonderful family, and menopause at 36 might be a great pay-off.

Okay so we picked up Chinese food after Haydens basketball game and I am passing my fortune cookie onto you....It reads....

"The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a person's determination."

Need I say more? Have a good night...

oh, and that menopause thing..you can kick that no problem. Just remember..you can be as crabby as you want and have an excuse. Not so bad...

What a ride. We were all at the top of the roller coaster with you the day before. Hopefully there are some blessings in disguise here that you'll be able to look back on many years from now.

Dear Lisa,
I am Terese Archibald's sister-in-law, Sheliah, and ask Terese about you all the time; so, Terese told me how to google your blog to see your photos and keep up to date on you. - What a beautiful family you have and you are, too! I'm so sorry you have cancer and admire you for being so proactive. I pray for you and your family a lot.

Hi Lisa,

You mentioned in your previous post that your 2nd round will be tomorrow, March 4. Just wanted to let you know that I'm already praying for you, and asking blessing on that infusion. May you and all your family know God, Who is Love, with you.

Good thoughts your way,

Aunt Ginny

Hi Lisa,

I have thought a lot about you in the past couple of months and I am so sorry all of this is happening to you. I do hope you see a gynecologic oncologist soon. As far the surgical menopause is concerned, as someone who has gone through it due to ovarian cancer, I can tell you that it is no big deal! They have a nice little see-through patch that takes care of all your problems. Hope round 2 of the chemo will go well tomorrow.

Keep the faith and your spirits up. You know you have good friends to support you and a great husband that will always be by your side. The only thing you can control is your attitude. Be strong, which I know you are. We will be praying for you and your family.

Monika really meant it about the little patch taking care of the menopause thing. It really works.
